The easy, breezy Oceanside attitude is free flowing at this SoCal beach resort. Decorated in calming blues, well-crafted wood pieces, and pristine creams, Mission Pacific exudes effortless cool even in its smallest details. Michelin-starred Mexican restaurant Valle, the craft cocktail-slinging rooftop bar, and seafood-focused High/Low comprise the impressive dining options on hand. Prime access to the beach, refreshing guest rooms, and mouthwatering restaurants normally would be enough to seal the deal, but this resort goes above and beyond for movie buffs with one particularly niche amenity—the house from Top Gun. One of the last remaining examples of a Folk Victorian beachside cottage in San Diego County, the house has since been converted into an on-site pie shop where visitors can admire the architecture while snacking on pastries.
